
Chaminda Vaas is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, widely regarded as one of the country’s best fast bowlers. Born on March 27, 1974, Vaas was a key figure in Sri Lanka’s bowling attack for over a decade. He made his debut in 1994 and went on to play in more than 100 Tests and 300 One-Day Internationals (ODIs). Vaas was known for his accuracy, ability to swing the ball, and his consistency with the ball. He played a significant role in Sri Lanka’s victory in the 1996 Cricket World Cup and became one of the most successful left-arm fast bowlers in history. After retiring, he also served as a coach, contributing to Sri Lankan cricket.
