Welcome back to the Stop the Inflammation Pandemic series.
In the last episode, we explored inflammation in the surface nervous system and how itaffects our ability to handle stress and emotions. I introduced a powerful formula — Gotu Kola Complex, or what I call “meditation in a bottle.” It supports mental clarity, reduces nervous overload, and calms surface-level anxiety.
Today, we turn our focus inward — to the cardiovascular system.
What Is Inflammation in the Cardiovascular System?
Your cardiovascular system isn’t just your heart — it includes every blood vessel, capillary, and the soft muscle linings that protect these structures.
The innermost lining of your blood vessels is made of smooth muscle and acts as a vital barrier. When this lining is inflamed, it sets the stage for:
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Diabetes and insulin resistance
- Arterial blockages and heart disease
When healthy, this lining repels LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides. But inflammation stops the production of protective proteins, and the immune system may begin attacking your own tissues, thinking it’s helping — causing more damage.
Can These Conditions Be Reversed?
Yes — if caught early.
Late-stage example:
Someone with 10+ years of diabetes on insulin, also suffering from blood pressure issues, kidney decline, and nerve damage.
At this point, complete reversal is unlikely, but we can still support the body to prevent further harm.
Early-stage example:
Someone recently gained weight and just had a test showing slightly raised sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure.
This is the golden window.
With lifestyle change and targeted herbs, the body can completely reset itself in 3–6 months.
Real-Life Case Studies
Case 1:
A 44-year-old man came to me with fatigue and an enlarged heart. His diet was poor, and though tests were “normal,” doctors advised yearly monitoring.
We introduced:
- Anti-inflammatory herbs for the cardiovascular system
- Adrenal and liver support
- A revised eating window (6–8pm)
- Whole foods, healthy proteins, and fasting (which suited his lifestyle)
In 6 months: He lost weight, increased energy, and began exercising.
After 1 year: He no longer needed herbs — his body had reset itself.
Gotu Kola Complex continued to help with emotional and nervous system regulation
during this phase.
Case 2:
A man in his 60s with high blood pressure for over 20 years came off statins due to elevated liver enzymes.
We introduced:
- A raw food protocol
- Vascular-supportive herbs
- Lifestyle coaching
Within 7 days:
- Blood pressure dropped from 140/90 to 115/75
- Cholesterol dropped from 5.12 to 3.75
He maintained progress on a 60% raw, 40% cooked diet, and his doctor began
reducing his blood pressure meds.
Why Herbs Work — When Used Wisely
Herbs are not quick fixes — they heal. They support the body’s innate intelligence to:
- Reduce inflammation
- Restore vessel elasticity
- Strengthen heart muscle
My go-to herbal combinations:
- Hawthorn Plus – Supports the heart muscle, improves elasticity, and reduces vessel inflammation
- Marshmallow Root Plus – Soothes and restores smooth muscle lining integrity
- Gotu Kola Complex – Calms the nervous system and supports cardiovascular resilience through stress reduction
Final Thoughts
- Inflammation in blood vessels is now recognised by modern medicine.
- Markers like Apolipoproteins B and C reveal early signs.
- A healthy vessel lining produces Matrix Gla protein, which prevents calcium and fat buildup — but inflammation stops this process.
So should we just rely on supplements like Vitamin K2 and D3?
Or do we reduce inflammation, so the body restores balance on its own?
My approach: Support the body. Don’t override it.
You Can Heal Even long-term habits can be reversed with:
- Real food
- Targeted herbs
- A personalised approach
- Patience and commitment
Health is wealth.
And your heart? It’s more than a pump — it’s your emotional and energetic centre.
In the next episode, we’ll explore inflammation in the smooth muscle linings of joints andmuscles.
